Each semester, we grant interest-free loans to cover a proportion of the semester fees, within the limits of our resources. Our aim is to help students in financial difficulty to avoid being de-registered.
The AStA grants students who find themselves in financial distress short-term interest-free loans to cover a proportion of their semester fees, within the limits of its resources. This is intended to prevent students from being de-registered solely on the basis of temporary financial hardship. There is no entitlement to the loan. The loan amounts to the amount of the semester fees payable.
Regardless of the semester contribution loan, you can also apply to the student services organisation for exemption from the semester ticket for social reasons. Please find out more about this in good time at www.studierendenwerk-hamburg.de.
You can find detailed information about the SBD hier. Please read everything carefully and submit your application by the applicable deadline.
Please note the submission deadline of 15 August (for the winter semester) or 15 February (for the summer semester), unless otherwise communicated by us. Late applications will not be considered.
If you have any questions or problems, personal consultation hours can be offered in individual cases by prior arrangement. Please feel free to send us an email at: soziales@asta.tuhh.de.
