The 32nd Filmfest hamburg invites you to become part of the 5-member NDR Young Talent Award jury. Are you a film enthusiast and studying in Hamburg? Then apply now for a festival experience you won't forget.

The NDR Newcomer Award honours directors who are showing their feature film debut or their second directorial work. The prize is endowed with 5,000 euros and is provided by Norddeutscher Rundfunk.

To become a jury member:

  • you are currently student at a university in Hamburg
  • you are between 18 and 29 years old
  • you have very good English skills
  • you are available in Hamburg between 26 September an 5 October to view the 8 to 10 nominated films of the NDR newcomer award
  • enter into critical discussions with your fellow jury members about the films
  • be able to select a winning film by mutual agreement and write a justification for the decision

  • an insight into how the film festival works
  • an accreditation with which you can take part in the Industry Programme and watch films for 10 days

  • write or film a statement, with wich you present shortly your person and a movie that has impressed you the most in the last year (max. 1500 characters or 5 minutes)
