Do I have to pay a fee for each sport I want to participate in?
No, the participation fee is a one-off payment of €5 that allows you to register for multiple sports. If the registration portal requests your IBAN again, we will not charge the payment twice.
Are students from outside the TUHH also allowed to participate?
No, participation in AStA Sports Fusion is only possible for TUHH students.
If my friends want to participate in group sports, do they have to register separately using the registration link?
No, for group sports please provide your preferred email address for group participation. We will send you an email with a link and your fellow players must confirm their participation via this link.
Is the equipment provided on site?
Yes, you don't need to bring any equipment; everything is provided on site, you need your own clothes and shoes haha:)
Can I participate in multiple sports?
Yes, you can participate in multiple sports. We will do our best to accommodate your appointment requests, but please understand that we cannot accommodate all appointments perfectly.
Can I take part in a doubles match in badminton with any gender pairing?
Yes, you are free to form a couple with any gender. The games are not gender-specific; You can compete against couples of any gender.
Do I have to bring my own food and drinks?
Food will be available on site at an affordable price and the first 1-2 drinks will be provided free of charge at the venue. You may want to pack some additional snacks or energy bars to keep your energy levels up during breaks.
Do I get a schedule for an event beforehand?
You will receive a schedule for an event day before an event.
What rewards are available for winners and participants?
Winners will receive fantastic prizes, medals, and official certificates as tokens of their achievement.
Do participants receive anything?
Absolutely! Every participant will be presented with an official participation certificate from AStA as a memento of their involvement.
Is it possible to join without a team, and if so, how are teams organized?
You can certainly participate solo by selecting the "no team yet" option. We will make every effort to connect you with other students who have also chosen this option for the same category. However, please understand that team formation depends on the availability of other solo participants in the same category. We'll do our best to assist in team formation. We will not deduct any money if there are no teams formed for single entries.
Can students participate in mixed-gender teams for Volleyball and football?
Absolutely, we welcome mixed-gender participation, and anyone is allowed to join these sports.
Is it mandatory to wear sports shoes during sports activities?
Typically, to protect the indoor flooring and ensure safety, it's recommended to wear non-marking sports shoes. It's advisable to have proper sports footwear to minimize the risk of injuries.
